Dad OT Family Reunion

I feel like it has been a looong time since I have blogged. Many fun events have occurred. On the weekend of June 27th, we had Dad OT's family reunion. It was a great time seeing all the siblings and cousins. There were 54 of us just in his immediate family. The boys had a blast playing with cousins. We did a ropes course, hikes, canoed, paddle boated and just enjoyed visiting with many siblings we do not see often. FUN, FUN!!!

Crazy Weekend!!!

I had the great pleasure of helping a good friend look for a home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Man did we have an adventure. We left from our home Friday afternoon. We had a connecting flight in Chicago, Illinois. We arrived their on time, went and got some dinner and were just waiting for our flight. My friend decided to go walk around with her baby and quickly returned informing me of our flight being cancelled. We had to get to Milwaukee. We were informed to go to the service desk and there they would reschedule our flight. We stood in line waiting and found out the couple behind us were traveling to Milwaukee as well. We found out that we would not be able to fly out until the next morning and they would not pay for a hotel for us. We are a little anxious at this point. We had to be there early in AM to start looking for homes. We decided to approach the couple and ask if they wanted to share a rental car to drive the 80 miles from Chicago to Milwaukee. They agreed and we made the journey with what we had. Once we got to Milwaukee, we rented a car and drove to our hotel in a pouring rain, lighting storm. We settled in for the night, had to get a tooth brush and deodorant from the front desk. We thankfully got our luggage the next morning from the airport and were able to get to work with the task of finding an area and home for them to live in. Never once in all of my journeys had I had to do that!!! I look back and have to laugh!!!

Weekend FUN!!!

This past weekend was fun of lots of fun!!!  It was Dad OTs grandmothers 98th B'day, the Tots cousin was able to come to visit for the weekend, we went fishing... which turned in to "under-roo" swimming, went on a hike, spent time throwing rocks at the pond near our home and having rolling races down the hill.  It is these times as a family that I will always cherish.  

Coupons Anyone?

I have wanted to work on saving a little on our grocery bill each month, so I am trying something new to me....Grocery Smarts.  Sunday was the first day we received our papers.  Tot 1 was so excited to retrieve the papers, but soon asked, "Why do we have four papers?"  We will see if this really works!

Thankful to be a MOM!!!

I know that Mothers Day has past, but this past few weeks I have really been reflecting on how much I LOVE the three men in my life.  They are so kind and compassionate.  I love everything, almost everything they do.  They make the world around me more bright and provide constant entertainment.  I love being their MOM and wife.  I am sooo grateful for them and the daily lessons I am taught.  I never thought being grown up could be so fun!!!

Tot 1 has finally been drafted to his first of T-BALL team!!!

He was soo excited to finally play a sport with friends.  Tot 2 was not happy he was not old enough to play, but he brings his gear to each game and plays on the side.
